by Jaime D. on Ugh. This place could be great. I mean, really great. The view is spectacular. The idea is superb. However, they do everything wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Beer specials? HA. Try $35 for a bucket of 6 coronas. Food? $10 for a burger - without fries or chips. (albeit, a good tasting burger). Crowd? Douche-central. Bathrooms? Disgusting. Borderline unusable. There are so many things I want to love about this place. Though really, it's just a crappy bar with a great view. I'd rather brown bag it to Battery Park than have to deal with the mess here.
by Kasey Peppard on This review is based on my experience in summer of 2004. The place could be different today. I was not allowed in the bar because I was wearing 'sneakers'. I pointed out to the bouncer the shoes of the three men in front of me in line were also sneakers and they were allowed in. The bouncer responded the men's sneakers were 'designer'. I then pointed out that the designer of one of the men's shoes was Puma, the same designer of my shoes. I was told my friends could enter but I could not. I'm not sure if this is relevant to my refused entrance but the clientele was approximately 2/3 African America, 1/3 Asian. There were some white females but I was the only white male.
