by Mallorie F. on This is a review of the club only. Came here on Saturday night for a birthday party. We were all on the guest list but apparently that doesn't help you get in any faster, you just don't have to pay the $20 cover (it's still $5). We stood in line for 30 minutes.... During that time there was one totally asshole bouncer who was pretty rude to some of the other people in the line for either holding spots for friends, or being too rowdy. All of the other bouncers were cool though. Upstairs was really really crowded but super fun. Downstairs is much more chill. They have couches that aren't reserved which was nice and the music was awesome. One great song after another! We had a great time dancing until 1am. A note about dress code. I had been informed the dresscode was "club slutty" so I picked out the littlest black dress I own and left the house worrying I looked a little bit too much like a high class hooker. No one even blinked twice. Maybe that had something to do with the other 10 beautiful girls right next to me wearing even less. I saw a girl in a bikini top and a girl in what appeared to be a prom dress. So I think anything goes. Mostly people wear teeny tiny dresses, not a lot of jeans. One big bummer: Drinks were really expensive
by Theda Conda on OMIGOD. I just had to write about this place. You know why? Cuz I got hit on by a lesbo!! That's right. This hot chick was all over me tonight at Shine, and my friends were staring at me like WHAT. At first I was like, ok I'll dance w/ this cute chick... then it got freaky, so I left, and started dancing w/ my guy friends. I mean, I'm just not a lesbo... I'm like really straight, so it just got weird. Finally, later in the night I saw her almost making out w/ this other chick. To be honest, I was kindof jealous... like what the fuck??
