After a long night waiting for the new years crystal ball to drop my friends and i had tickets to come here and partayyyyyyyyy the rest of new years night away. And with it being new years and all...it was jam packed! It was crazyyyyyy, also the fact that Lady Gaga was there that night was another +++++! We ended up holding onto our jackets because the coat check was seriously NUTSO! The whole place was packed with people....So my friends and I decided to go and get our drink on and just hold our damn jackets...which were heavy, but eh, we do what we gotta. After a while of drinking and warming up after a long cold night! We started to get our groove on. The place is pretty spacious in terms of how many dance floors it has. We went upstairs to see Lady Gaga...she of course was in her crazy outfit and her music was bumping! It was pretty cool to see her alive and on stage. After she finished up, my friends and I decided to dance around from dance floor to dance floor depending on our mood. SO many guys were asking us to dance and blah blah....especially them Indian ones...so weird! But at least when I declined they were nice enough to leave me alone....well cept for one guy...but I dealt with him. It was definitely a memorable night. I want to come back when one of my favorite bands are playing here or just a regular evening...new years was just way tooo crowded..but it was fun!

I'm one of those girls who DOES NOT like going to strip clubs. I'm proud of it. I also don't like cheesy male strippers who pretend to be nice to sad old women in heat, for a buck down the pants. What I do like is pretty gay boys telling me to work it out in my outfit. Straight as an arrow and I ENJOY gawking at hot boys with no interest in me or my money! It's so fun! I came here after hours over the weekend and had a total blast. Great house music, they played my faves. (Benni Benassi & Fredde Le Grand) I got to dance my arse off, found a piece of ass to party with and didn't get groped! Ask me to go to a strip club with you and I'll make you bring me here, instead.

This place had been in my list of cocktail spots to hit since they opened last month. I had read all of the internet writeups on the place (the decor, the drinks, etc) and was pretty stoked to check it out. Last night I got the chance. Made it past the door guy pretty quickly even though there was a long-ish line (I guess he saw my cute gf first and that helped). Once we made it past the door I noticed what someone else on here already pointed out - a funny smell. smelled kinda like a cheap motel / old bar which was strange considering how new the place is. immediately following that i realized how fucking the loud the music was in this place. and crowded. I was kinda thrown for a second because I was expecting this to be more of a laid back kind of cocktail spot a la pegu club, pdt, death and company, etc. sad to say it just felt like some weird b&t kinda club with nice decor and a nice cocktail list. i didn't get a chance to sample the drinks tho because after about 3 minutes of standing in the main room my gf and I both were like 'let's leave, this sucks'. what a major disappointment. definitely not what i thought it was going to be. hard to describe something as 'glamorous' with loud ass club music being overdriven through tiny speakers. i make my living as a dj. if the owners want to turn this place into a nightclub (and it kinda felt like they were really trying to) they need to upgrade the sound or tell their djs to turn the volume down a notch. the sound quality was harsh and brittle and those speakers were hurting. plus there is nothing like having the music so fucking loud in a bar that people then have to scream to be heard over it and the whole room just sounds like a giant buzz. after we left we walked a few blocks over to this new little bar called ELSA (similar name) and had some wicked cocktails in a cool setting. mission accomplished. shame.
