by desiree h. on Had one of the best nights dancing at Little Baobob's. Everyone seemed to be there for one reason only: to dance! There was no pretentious feeling you get at other dance clubs in the city and you could actually dance with just about anyone without feeling like a piece of meat or worrying about the person following you around the rest of the night (girls you know what I'm talking about). This place is quite small, hence the word "little" in the name, but if you can handle having a sweaty night, this place is definitely worth it. Great drinks, great crowd, great dance music (afro/cuban/dancehall/reggae/reggaeton). Couldn't have asked for more from this place. On a side note....the restaurant across the street (Bissap Baobab) has some pretty tasty food, tho the service can be quite slow.
by Todd Urich on This is a great place to play some pool. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. It's easy to spend a few hours shooting some stick and knocking back a few brews. You would be doing yourself a great disservice if you didn't try out any one of their Panini sandwiches. I really should hit Temple for lunch more often because you get to play pool free for a half hour with a purchase of a food item. My game would be better for it! Happy hours are from 4p.m. --- 8 p.m. with $2.50 pints.
