Given that I've never had El Salvadorian food before, I ordered the Gloria super sampler which was highly recommended by the server. The tamale and pupusa were the highlights of the plate. I liked how moist the tamale was compared to most other tamales I've had before at Mexican restaurants. And the pupusa had a nice crisp saltiness from the fried pork bits inside. But the rest of the dish was rather pedestrian - admittedly, I'm not usually that into plantains and yucca in general. The service was prompt and friendly though and the black beans that accompanied the chips and salsa were a nice touch. If I come back for lunch, I'll go instead with the "Nancy special" which is the sampler minus the plantains and yucca for $4 less.
by Tam Perrera on I had the pleasure to come here on a Monday night where all the cool kids come and hangout. The place has a very cool bar that changes colors and is the only well lit item in the whole bar. It's dark, its roomy, and Ryan the cutey bartender serves up a great Pink Pussy.. yeah you heard.. it:) The crowd that night were all from the "industry" meaning they work at restaurants, bars, and clubs.. all were friendly and the place closes at 3am.. wowsers.. upstairs they have a good lounge area , so if you are with a large group, this place has plenty of room. Even with the indoor smoking, I was still able to breath freely. Plenty of restrooms they even have a VIP bathroom:) so god knows what it's used for ..hehheeh.. Overall Great place to catch a drink.. and it's conveniently located.
