Review #1425. Sunday lunch in the city we expected to spend 40 bucks and up somewhere else. Let's try Nick's as we've walked by there a hundred times. $11 for food and $6 for margaritas later (happy hour, who knew?) We were stuffed and happy to walk down the street for lattes which cost near as much as lunch! Carne Asada Nick's way was great, husband said. Fish taco very nice, if a bit greasy. Chips and salsa muy bueno. Fish and seafood $1 more than listed per the BP disaster...We watched the Giants game at the bar and worked hard to get the disinterested bartender's attention (she was reading Elle or Vogue or something).

Cinco De Mayo! Was hot last night! I've been fooling with the folks of PST and Sake 0ne for a minute now and trying to hit most of their events they have on a tuesday night at 330 Ritch. Pure hip hop baby no over the top commercial shit! Cinco de Mayo was so hot last night with all the hip hop joints with a latin flare to the beats. I mean Sake was droppin hitters last night joint that you may not have heard for a minute if you love that real hip hop! Tracks of Eve's 1st album, joints by De La (by the way if you have itunes download the Are You In? Nike+ joint Its a nice one!) NORE joints I swear Sake blessed us all with some good tunes! And WTF man! the kitchen was open and they had some good eats coming hot and yummy! I had the waffle and chicken wings and that shit brought me out of my almost drunken state LoL ! If you never been to 330 go! Grab a few friends get in, grab a table and a few drinks be sure to get on the dance floor and have a good time! PST and 330 will leave you happy on a Tuesday if its Cinco de Mayo or not...

I'm really really torn with this place. I really enjoyed the DJ and the music he was spinning last night...from current club bangers...to old school hip hop and 80's party jams...to rock and house. He played it all and his skills made the genre shuffling seem effortless. HOWEVER...I am not a fan with how this place is laid out or how crowded this place is. I think they let way too many people in. The dancefloor was SO packed that you couldn't move without bumping someone. Luckily it was a pretty chill crowd. Also, the line at the bar was at least 6 deep. Later on in the night a guy mentioned it took him over 20 minutes to get to the bar and get a drink. Ridiculous. Luckily we had VIP tables with our own liquor. (more on that later...) So as I was about to say...trying to make your way through the crowd was nearly impossible without running into seemingly random pieces of furniture. I wish I could have seen the set up before the club got packed...maybe it would have made more sense. They also had their "VIP" tables all along the dancefloor which made the place even more crowded. And speaking of the VIP table service, we were a large group of about 17 women on a bachelorette soiree. We were supposed to get the upstairs VIP section...but were "bumped" into one of the ones on the floor which was **entirely** too small for our group. Ya, we weren't happy about that either. Overall, this place wasn't terrible...but I don't know if I'd be in a rush to get back here either. I'm with OBM's POV...not really my scene, but it's cool. The extra star is really because the DJ was on point.
