My friends and I were searching for jazz music in SF...much more difficult than you think. We ended up at Coda even though it was funk music. Haven't really listened to much funk before so I admit it was a new experience for me. Definitely started to grow on me. Plenty of seating in booths and a lively crowd, but not too rowdy. Would be interested in checking it out on an actual jazz night.

So.....I was laying around one morning when I see this place hightlighted on the morning news. It was the picture of the baklava sundae that clinched it for me. I had to try it. I scheduled it for my Thursday night dinner club. Just me and my bro trying a new place every Thursday. We punch it into the GPS and we rolled. I'm glad we were in agreement on this spot as our route lead us through Little 5 Points and another historic district of the ATL which I found absolutely lovely. I want one of those old Victorian style homes!! Kinda like Cherry Hill off Adams in L.A The menu is somewhat limited. Turns out it is just a diner. Clean and old, as it has been around for 80 years, now a favorite destination for hipsters spilling out the bars at 2 AM. I had the regular burger and it was delicious! My friend loves hot dogs, so after eating the first one that came with fries, he ordered another one. But, the next order had to come with fries too! He didn't want more fries...just the hot dog. But after 80 years, they didn't know how to serve a hot dog without fries!! They lose a star for that. He did enjoy the orange shake thingy. I ordered the baklava sundae for dessert. It was just OK. Not toe curling like I had anticipated. It was also the cheap version of baklava, just walnuts...no pistachios. Overall, it was ok...nothing to run and tell about. As a tourist spot, somewhat like the Pantry in L.A., I can say that I've been there, but that was about it.

i had my birthday afterparty here (a week after it opened). it's got a very musky library feel (minus the books). clubby, crowded, but good music. def would recommend bottle service. the bottle lady & host wasn't too attentive... mainly b/c it was busy but still would have liked more attn.
