by Dee Pruitt on Shout is one of those places that's pretty mediocre. The food was decent, but the miso soup is a little sloppy to eat. Perhaps if they cut up some of the sprouts in there, it wouldn't be such a mess. That's not worth cutting it down any stars, but the food just wasn't that good. I had the fresh vegetables roll. It didn't blow me away, but it was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed it. The octopus I ate was decent as well. I enjoyed the atmosphere inside the restaurant. I ordered creme brulee for dessert, and it was absolutely outstanding! I haven't had creme brulee like that in a long, long while. I was very impressed with it. After my friend and I finished our dinner, we thought it would be fun to go upstairs to see what the patio was like. We saw a few of the people going in there, and it looked like it was going to be really cheesy. When we found out there was a five dollar cover to go to the upstairs patio, we immediately shot it down, laughing a bit. The crowd was a bit too cheesy for my taste, and it didn't seem worth paying any cover charge.
by M S. on I was really excited to hear some good blues, but unfortunately, the night we went, there was a terrible band. I don't recommend the food either. The Peppered Brisket of Beef was really salty, the Fried Chicken was flavorless and the batter was very thick and had a strange texture. The greens were sweet, gritty, and left a film in my mouth. Who the heck makes sweet greens. EW
