This is my second time to this place. MY REVIEW FOR A BACHELORETTE PARTY I had a good and memorable first time experience five years ago because I didn't know what to expect. The entertainment was great and we all had a good laugh. However...for the bachelorette party, I was expecting a SHOW upstairs. There is a dance floor downstairs and we were shuttled downstairs for drinks, a private room, a pole, and there was stripper. We got maybe about 10 minutes private time with "Melanie" the man dancer. Overall..the drinking shots were weak and watered down. There were appetizers (crabcakes, fried shrimp, cucumbers, spare ribs, burgers, chicken skewers). My co-workers got the package which included a limo ride to either MATRIX BUTTER or MINT (it's a Karoke club) Overall...I think I would of enjoyed it more if the bachelorette party included the show upstairs.

First word of advice: Make sure you're in good company when you go to this place because you're going to be waiting around. The music and atmosphere at Sambuca Jazz Cafe was great, but for the prices, I was expecting a better dinning experience. Second: Go in a party of 5 or less. We went in a large group (about 15 people) and ordered from a prix fixe menu with just a few choices. So I expected the meal to come out fairly quickly and the service to be consistent, particularly since the customary 18% could be expected with such a large group. So much for expectations. The 1st course order (salad) went in at 8:25, and came out at 9:00. I wondered how long it would have taken had they actually had to cook something. Second and third courses were not much better. While the waitress was personable, the entire staff seemed to be overwhelmed or unaccustomed to large groups. Third: be prepared to add your own seasoning. Several folks in our party complained that the food was a bit bland and asked for salt and pepper shakers. My conclusion -- go to Sambuca for the music, not for the dining.
