Nothing is better than some good convincing. My friends who share the same birthday as me convinced me to celebrate our birthday in SF this year. I was super hesitant, but they somehow managed to get me to go. I'm glad that I went because it was a different experience. As I entered Atmosphere, I noticed the mirror that people mentioned in previous reviews. It was fun to watch some people walking towards the mirror thinking it was another room. I wonder if they put that there on purpose? Atmosphere is spacious and there are two bars. I noticed that the bar upstairs poured their shots into plastic cups versus the bar downstairs pouring their shots into regular shot glasses. Not sure which one people prefer, but I just wanted to give you all a heads up. The music was pretty good that particular night that I went and I liked how the DJ didn't play songs over and over. I would definitely recommend this place to others. It's just kind of odd where this place is located. Haha.

I like The Frying Pan. Sitting on a barge in the middle of the Hudson River watching the sun set, while eating a very good burger can be a great moment of Zen. I am not a beer drinker but $20 pitchers and buckets of bottles seemed to be selling well. It can be hard to get a table but this is a fun place to relax, unwind, catch some sun and a good meal.

Cool summertime spot to grab a Corona and some french fries. They were called "garlic fries" but I think it was just old bay seasoning. Who cares! The rocking of the boat was weird at first, but once you get used to it this is a champ of a place! Drinking on a boat = Fun! Only bummer if that it's all the way on the side of the island and you have to cross the west side highway. So it's a bit of a hike to get back to the trains.
