I'm girly so I like the Hibiscus drink at The Little Temple. It's champagne + something else. At $9 each, they weren't cheap but I guess it's pretty standard. I love the huge couch/bed on your left when you first walk in. It's probably not that clean so don't look that closely. Like others have said, The Little Temple is so dark you can't see anything anyway. I ordered a couple of drinks from a waitress to came by the "bed." Later in the evening, I walked to the bar and I was told that the bartender could not charge my next drink to my card because the waitress had my card. Fine, whatever. Then, when it was time to leave, it took me 15 minutes to flag down the waitress to pay. Some people in there were really UGLY. One girl was grinding the stage area in the main room - yes, just her and the stage. I guess the stage was the only thing that wanted to dance with her. She was huge. I was also creeped out by the men (or shall we call them boys?) who were all hanging out at one end of the room, sipping their drinks and trying to pick out their next victim. I was afraid I was going to be violated.

I'm sorry - we've been loyal patrons of little Baobab for years - live right nearby. Maybe it was just an off-night. But we were bringing a friend here who worked in Senegal in the peace corps and ... all 'round it was disappointing. I'm chill with the service usually. But tonight, I don't know, way too many mistakes going on and not enough "mea culpa." I don't mind waiting a long time; I like that, in fact, but several times waiting for a drink (and that's important) or not getting it all. We were served the meal with nary a fork in sight. The Franziskaner was out and, of the dessserts, only the cake was available. And the food wasn't what it had been. And the restroom ... well, you couldn't flush the toilet so they'd removed the top of the bowl and customers had to do it manually. I'm sad. I've loved this place in the past, really. Has something changed? Is it tough 'cause of the economy? I'll go again, but with a big ol' caveat and I won't bring guests. I'll go dancing there ... that's still gotta be great, right?
