by Frank R. on For a California boy who has never had Texas BBQ this place certainly lived up to all the hype. My Moopy and I went here for our first Austin eatery destination. Granted its not in Austin but the 20 minute drive to it was cool because we actually got to see something other than the city life. Any ways upon arrival this place is has the typical Texas old school ranch feel and the smoker inside the restaurant lets me know these people throw down when it comes to BBQ. As for the food we both couldn't decide so we went with the sampler of course...Brisket was phenomenal, Rib was fantastic and the sausage was awesome. Their sides are your basic beans coleslaw and bread but that too was great. For the type of food and atmosphere you cant go wrong here and the price for your food reflects that, excellent food at an excellent price. My Moopy's college friend is getting married soon and I hope that she chooses Austin as the place cuz The Tank wants some mo Salt Lick, Yeeehaaaaaaaw!

We closed the club for 2 months, got rid of our old promoters who were responsible for the old crowd that caused the problems before, and now we are opening with a new format on both Friday and Saturday nights. Fridays will be straight and Saturdays will be gay. **************************** I give 181 two stars just for answering my email but until someone posts a positive review this month or later, I would rather explore other venues like Shine.
