by Jan A. on Good brunch & happy hour. Great atmosphere. Great place for an outdoor dining experience. Okay service. I have been to Gloria's twice & both times were a-ok. Nothing bad, but nothing fabulous. Their happy hour offerings is quite good. It's also nice being able to sit out on the patio & people watch. The following happy hour dishes were worth the try: 1) Pupusas: not the best I've had, but not bad. 2) Plaintains: can't really go wrong with this. Serving it with sour cream & black beans for dipping was a nice touch. And for brunch: 1) Chilaquiles: needed more eggs, but still satisfying 2) Eggs with Argentinian Sausage: this was actually quite scrumptious 3) Queso Flameado: this was quite delicious. Be sure to ask for corn tortillas. Their michelada was delish. I will definitely be back here for the ambiance.
by Antone Crumwell on I am really not the biggest club person. But for a short stint during the fall I went to this place 2-3 times in like 2 months. It had just opened (under its new name), and apparently had been renovated. This is a good looking club. With a number of different rooms/areas, there is a good amount of diversity within the club. I also liked the fact that the outside area is a pretty good look if your looking for a nice outdoor spot. The eye candy is pretty incredible here, although it skews more towards younger 20' somethings. Typically its an interesting mix. Drinks are high as hell here! So make sure you are nice before you get in the bldg, or you will be paying a grip.
