I don't think I need to go back to Mr. Bones. The hostess wasn't sure what table to seat us at because there was a party in the back, but the whole front of the restaurant was empty. The decision didn't seem that difficult. They were out of beef ribs, they were out of potato salad, they were out of turkey brisket, they were out of wheat bread, they didn't have hot tea or coffee, they were out of pickles. Every time we asked for something we could only get half because they had run out of everything else. The beef brisket was dry but the flavor was ok. The BBQ sauce was pretty good. The baby back ribs were ok, also dry and their chicken was also just ok. I ordered stewed okra and tomatoes. The okra was really mushy and overcooked and I kept finding pieces of unchewable stem and onion skin. It was really unpleasant. The dirty rice was fine. Nothing was really amazing except their mashed potatoes, go figure. Our waitress was easily confused. Maybe it was because they were out of half the kitchen, so she had to think about things extra hard, but I don't think "We want the family meal, plus a pound of baby back ribs" is such a hard concept. Instead she kept telling us that you can't get ribs in the family meal. We tried to explain that we understood that, we wanted the ribs IN ADDITION TO the family meal. I wanted a Big Red from a bottle instead of from the fountain and she kept fighting me "but we have it from the soda machine." Yes, I understand you have that, but I also see that you have bottled Big Red, I want the bottled. Yes, I understand that it is more expensive, I still want it. When we paid in cash she counted out the cash we handed her right in front of us. That wasn't as much a problem as it was just tacky and bad service. Mediocre food and an easily baffled waitress. Why would I go back?

Keeping this short and simple. I've been here twice now. Service was excellent both times, very professional yet personable! Friendly management, bartenders, wait staff, and even valets. The portions are fitting, very fresh ingredients. Decor and ambience = amazing. I had a great time thanks to the staff. One Midtown is a great place for a romantic date or a nice dinner with friends. Highly recommend.

I do end up here from time to time... hmmm... what can I say. I want to start by saying something nice. That's what my mom always told me to do. Hmmm.... thinking. Thinking... Still thinking. A yes, cute people. Cute waitresses. Large space, and if you can get into it, fun place to dance. Ok, on to the real details. Drinks: overpriced Waitresses: unattentive People: well yes they're cute, but it's too loud to talk anyway... Music: K97 or some other such radio station... no I don't mean internet, I mean the kind like before there was satellite radio, the kind you tune in while you're driving. Driving, yeah that's the keyword. There are a lot of car owners here... people who drive in (over a bridge or through a tunnel... hint hint). Maybe I'm being too harsh. If you want to be seen, and play the bottle service game, by all means go for it.
