I was introduced to this place by a Cristian co-worker. You can only imagine how surprised I was when I realized what kind of establishment she frequents. We went on 7-8-10, Thursday night. We arrived @ 10:15pm. There was a very very short line. The entrance was free. Once inside, the security lady checked me better than any airport. She even lifted my strapless bra when she was finished. There is a metal detector. Once inside, the place seemed empty, but not for too long. Before the massive crowd, we toured the various areas including the reggae room where a scent of artificial weed is decor, unspeakable acts occur, and the men who lure women from the main dancefloor bring their catch. The main floor is ample with a small elevated stage where male Madonnas, couples meshing, and women imitating strippers show off thier bodies and sing to rap and hip hop. There is also a second floor which contains a small lounge overlooking the dancefloor. I did not buy any drinks, but a nice jamacian 40 year old bought me a water for $4.00. The crowd is mostly 'ghetto fab'. The women are Rainbow store shoppers or have very urban taste. The club markets to the black community and a mature crowd. It does not particularly attract a sophisticated crowd as evident by the dress attire of most men and women and lack of teeth. It was interesting to note that the men are not shy, will ask women to dance, and the women are down to dancing dirty and going all out. This is not my kind of crowd, but I must admit that I had alot of fun. I'm a conservative looking Latina. I danced with many different people on the main dancefloor. All respected my wish not to dance close, not to touch me, and not to go to the reggae room with them. My highlight, I danced with a bouncer who had a great body and danced like an angel. We took center stage on the dancefloor for at least half an hour. We danced the hustle, salsa, and what he called the Cha Cha. I just followed his movements. People took alot of pictures of us, he received many high fives, and we had quite an audience. I would not go again by myself because it's not my kind of crowd, but I think it's worth it if your into a 'ruff neck' 'hoodlum' 'nasty boy' 'ghetto fab' 'street' 'gangster looking or affiliated' partner either for a night of dancing or more.

Friday night. I knew a friend that knew someone that knew someone and we got in without the $40 cover charge. Which was good because that plus my $14 rum+coke would have meant I spent $54 just to get inside and have a drink. There wasn't even anything special about the place. The music was OK, the crowd was OK, I mean eh. The place was definitely on edge of acceptability. If a bouncer had been a prick or if a bartender gave me attitude or anything else had gone wrong this place would have sucked.
