Overrated. Pretentious. Meh.... It is definitely a pretty club in appearance, but the ceilings were too low for a club in my opinion, and the dancers had way too many clothes on to be worth watching. Outside was nice, unfortunately it was raining when I was there. They are trying to pull off this Vegas atmosphere with mediocre DJ's, and even douchier hosts and security with big man little dick complexes who are too short to intimidate anyone. They make you wait outside even when they are dead inside which really pisses me off. I've heard it referred to as a "real big kids club". Just because I have money to spend doesn't mean I like to be taken advantage of. There's nothing to brag about when you are a rich celebrity that doesn't have to pay for anything. All celebrity's do in a club is attract losers who need to get a peek. I work with them all the time so this doesn't impress me. It just slows everything down. Hey Jerk-offs... Guess what people in LA do when they want a taste of Vegas? THEY GO TO VEGAS! Get over yourselves. This will be a short lived club just like most of the ones in Vegas. Totally replaceable. The douchebag guys that run the place are enough to keep me away. Plech... Good thing I got everything for free when I went... That was the least they could do. P.S. And since I wrote this review someone from Drai's contacted me through this site and told me I was pretentious and that I should get over it or move to Vegas. Nice, huh? I'm content simply never going there again is all. No need to be dramatic. He is obviously one of the bags of douche I spoke of earlier. Thank you, whoever you are, for making my point even stronger!

Went on a Thursday night which I believe is hospitality night if I'm not mistaken. I think there was a fair share of strippers in the house. I heard some guy say the Cheetah girls were on their way. Place was packed. I feel this club has a very flawed design. Everyone wants to dance by the bar which doesn't work well. The actual dance floor in back was empty. If they put the club dancers and fire girl in the dance area I think people would follow. It makes it hard to get a drink when some guy that can't dance is blocking your approach. Lots of clumsy drunks didn't help either. People are constantly bumping into you. If you can't deal with that type of atmosphere I would suggest going elsewhere. Heneikens were only $5 which was a plus, thought I would be paying $7 or $8. We got there at midnight and it was a $15 cover. I'd be willing to check it out again sometime.

Vessel failed to impress but I wouldn't mind giving it a couple more chances. Fella and I were on the guestlist but for some reason, we weren't. After discovering this, I sassed up the bouncer and he let us in free. When we first arrived it was pretty empty and the music wasn't all that good. Thankfully we had $4 vodka cranberries to save the night. During the later hours more people showed up and music got a little better. I didn't know there were so many rich skanks living in SF. I guess they were all hiding in Vessel rubbing up on each other and being major cock blocks to old white men. The bathroom service was a bit awkward. For a mediocre wannabe lounge, I didn't expect someone to hand me napkins from the dark corner of the bathroom. It was so awkward there was nothing you could do but tip and hold your bladder the rest of the night to avoid the situation again. Besides all of these things, it was still a nice place to relax and have a drink. If they had a better DJ and more specials on drinks, I'd definitely be there more often.
