I have mixed feelings about this place. If you don't know it, East Andrews is a collection of bars in Buckhead. You walk into an open air area in the center which I think is hexagonally shaped. You can look up at the stars and everything. It's as if you're in a mini mall courtyard, except the mini mall is small and it's all bars. Each side of the center area has a different bar, although they're pretty much all the same. I really like the layout of this place, it's got a great feeling in the summer time... you're out at the bars and you're outside in the pleasant night air. You can walk around the bars and it kinda feels fresh. Unfortunately, there are some negatives which can keep me away at times. First off, it's definitely got a yuppie feel to it. Nothing wrong with dressing nicely when you go out, i'm all for that, but the mood of the people is a bit pretentious. It's also very, very white. I've never felt uncomfortable or excluded being here but I don't see a lot of diversity in this place. And of course, I have to mention the acoustic guitar player who sings covers of fratastic songs all night long. He's just sitting in the corner of one of the bars belting out song after song of generic, bland jukebox hits. Another person who I kinda feel sad for, I'm sure he can't enjoy doing this night after night even if the money's good. In summary, the venue is very nice, the layout is nice... but I still don't love this place because of the atmosphere I get here.

A great way to go see the newly remodel Academy of Sciences. It felt like a huge rateclub party (hint, hint - I say for the Holiday Party), with drinks you can purchase and food in there cafe area. The last time I was here was when I was a kid. A good tip is buy your tickets online, its a mad house. Plus this event happens every Thursday night and they are on Facebook. Of course there are pros and cons for coming to any event. Here is my list: PROS: -Great admission fee for just 10 bucks to see the whole museum then the regular admission. - Drinks and food on site to purchase - Different music heard throughout the event - You know its a good event when people are trying to buy tickets outside, since it was sold out. - Bring in your own food. I saw someone bring in Jollibee - The exhibits are amazing! What I saw was only the Aquarium but that was cool too! CONS: - They admitted way to many people, it was so busy in there. Everywhere was lines for things and people. - If you want to see the Rain forest get there early since it closes at 8pm. I was SOL for this too since it was a huge line going in. - For the Planetarium you needed to get passes to see the show or else you are SOL like I was - The food was way over priced, come on a Chicken bun was for like $3.00 bucks but then again if they don't rob you now when are they going too. - Drinks was minimum at 7 bucks. Which was expensive and since it was in a hella small cup. - I hit my tooth on one of the exhibits in the aquarium. It was a bubble one and since I was looking so hard I didn't see the glass and bam! They so need to hang a charm or something on there, cuz I saw alot of lips marks on the glass afterwards. After everything I would totally come back just to see the other exhibits. I do remember it being bigger as a kid, but maybe cuz I was small. Overall a great experience and would love to go back. BTW- HAPPY BDAY TO CINDI N.
