by Damaris P. on I went to Hiro for a birthday celebration, two to be exact and we had no problems getting in a) there were about 6 hot girls in our group and b) we were getting bottle service. Yes, it looks very nice, I guess, but the music wasn't that great and that's why I go to a dance club, to dance, duh. Also, it would be nice if there were some cute guys and I didn't see any of them, so I can only muster two stars for Hiro. I had a good time regardless because of the people I partied with that night -- but we have a good time wherever we go.
by May Felipa on After living in the LES for years and partying in LES for years, I've become accustomed to a certain kind of crowd/experience. Coming here was the equivalent to partying in another country and not necessarily in a bad way. The crowd was a little older and not NYUish, the bouncers weren't tools, the place wasn't packed to the point where you couldn't breathe and the bartenders were actually attentive. Plus there was a waitress giving out free shots of Jack. Always a plus. If I'm ever this far uptown again I would totally come back.
