by Michael H. on If you want a club or dining experience with soft mattresses, then you've got it. But if you don't want to let your hygenic imagination run wild, then don't come here. Is it comfort or an adult ball pit? The pictures of this place make it appear to be a lot larger than it actually is. There are two floors. The first has a disco ball filled bar then another room that leads to the main floor with the dance floor, mattresses, dj, and another bar. The second floor is basically all mattresses where you can chill out. The metal staircases and walkway on the second floor seem too "industrial" for this kind of environment. While the club scene kicks off there's a video playing of really random scenes a la film school rejects. It's kinda funny and makes the environment a bit odd. There are typical flashing lights yet oddly enough I thought they could have used more. In the middle of the night there was a lady in a dress that walked out onto the second floor wall/walkway where nobody is supposed to be and started dancing. I think she worked for the club seeing that she was one of the few caucasian people. The clientele is very asian. I was surprised at how un-diverse the scene was. It was probably 80% asian and 20% caucasian. Really odd. I think it might have to do something with there being about 3 bachelorette parties and one birthday party being together on the same night. Drinks seem to be decent although I hardly drank any. The music is a mix of house, dance, pop, hip hop but it probably depends on which night you come. The VIP list and reservations are sketchy. I got on the guest list fine but I heard from many people that they didn't get back to them at all.
by Lisa K. on Obviously everyone knows why people go to Trudy's, for their MEXICAN MARTINI's. I upgrade mine to the cazadores cause it really does taste better than the watered down house martini's. Most of the time when i come here I'll be munching on the chips and salsa, (it's like crack when you're drinking) but for the times i come here i usually stick to two things: The stuffed avocado or the Chile Relleno. You can't go wrong with the stuffed avocado and i usually get mine with the tinga(brisket) and the sour cream sauce on top which is like icing on the cake-mmmmhmmmm. And you also get your choice of beans and rice. I get the refried black beans cause i try to tell myself they are heathier than the normal refried beans haha. The chile relleno is also really good and is stuffed with your choice of meat and also comes with rice and beans. So if you just wanna relax after a hard day and knock back some draaaaanks then head over to trudy's!
