Nightclub experience..... Definitely a pretty club? Reminds me of Vegas style except not as large. It seems to be a hollywood/la club hotspot. Its part of the W hotel. They have an outdoor cabana type of thing with a pool in the middle, and the inside has booths and a bar. Restroom has lots of stalls. They seem to selective of the accepted crowd. Guys, if you're not on guestlist then you probably have to buy bottle service to get it. The line is not really a line in the front, more so like a petting zoo? They'll pick you out? lol We'll I'm not really sure how it works but I'm pretty happy I went with my gals so I just looked for the clipboard guy & yelled out all girls haha And I guess we were all decent enough to still get in, cover charge $20 at the door...whatevers, I haven't been clubbing in a while so it was still worth it. Price: $20 cover charge, Drinks range from $16+? (Henny shot was $16) Bar accepts credit cards as usual. Crowd - mixed, but more white? Definitely not a latino, black or asian night.....meaning eveyrone's more nice lol love it! If anything I would say its a decently mid age, good looking crowd haha Not old, no creepy people but glam people? Parking: There is a lot next to the W Hotel. It was like $10? Not bad, or if you can find meter its free? But good luck on that one. Features.....their booths have tall lamp posts which = dance area with thick stripper pole? haha P.S. Great place for bday because you can bring in a cake~! And they'll come out with it with the gals holding sparklers. Fun! They're so nice, they'll take pictures and everything.

I came here for dinner, but prior to coming here I had a late lunch, so decided to go a la carte instead of doing one of the tasting menus. Our party of four was seated right away at a four top, but seeing how comfortable the tables with the couches looked, we requested to be moved. The hostess was more than happy to move us. I really like the decor here-it makes you feel as though you're dining in an old English library, but the presentation of the food gives it it's modern flare. There are also quirky things scattered around the restaurant giving it a more lived-in feel and less like a restaurant. Started off with a glass of Au Bon Climat chardonnay as recommended by the sommelier. I enjoyed the subtle hints of lemon and pear, which left a citrusy and sweet aftertaste. The beef carpaccio was very refreshing. It was an interesting presentation as the beef carpaccio was wrapped around the heart of romaine. The horseradish and pepper added a nice tinge of spiciness balanced by the acidity of the cherry tomatoes. For my entree, I had the tai snapper, which was a decent portion. The snapper was cooked well and easily came apart when cut with a fork. It tasted somewhat like salmon, but the meat was more tender and juicy. I really enjoyed the tapioca crust because it's lighter than panko and added a nice contrasting crunchiness to the the snapper. If you order a la carte, the entrees here are a bit pricey. So I would recommend going with one of the tasting menus, which costs a little more, but you get to try more dishes. You can also wait until dineLA week rolls around, which is a definite deal as the price you pay for the 3 course dineLA menu equates that of an entree. At this point I was already getting full so decided to skip the dessert. I've heard good things about some of their desserts, so looking forward to coming back for another meal and completing it with dessert.
