This is one of the best clubs I've seen in LA. FREE TACOS!! Not great, but free and the best compliment for any starving drunk. My favorite is the free strawberries dipped in chocolate fondue. Great to go with your favorite cocktails. But my favorite part has to be the performances they put up. They had the boys from America's best dance crew performing there and those guys have crazy crazy moves and perhaps superhuman limbs. We were totally mesmerized by the gogo dancers. These are not your average slutty pole dancers. These girls have moves, rythm, and style. I bet they're part of some dance crew or dancing instructors. And they're super hawt! It's worth the cover just to feed off on these girls' energy. We weren't on the guestlist but we made it in without much waiting. Some of my friends had bad experiences in LA where they prefer certain ethnicities over others. Not here. First come first serve unless you have bottle service. $20 cover is not bad for all the goodies you get inside. We actually didn't pay the cover. The guy letting people in just took the money and let us in. In retrospect, we could have given him $5 and that would have been fine. The drinks here were pretty tasty and the people were friendly. A good mixed crowd. A definite A+++. PS. There are $6 and $7 parking within 10 steps of the club so no need to do valet.

Took Mr. H here for his b-day dinner. I was amazed at the work that went into transforming the space. I still recall the space in one of it's former incarnations as Privilege - a long, narrow, dark nightclub. We opted for the 11 course tasting menu and allowed the chef to choose for us. We started out with the tuna tartare. Nice, but not earthing shatteringly great. The burratta & heirloom beet salad was next. One of my favorite dishes. The burratta itself was divine. Buttery, rich and it melted in your mouth.Had the scallops next. It came with an amazingly crisp rice cake and the scallops were beautifully cooked. Moved on to the striped bass, which was the slightest bit overcooked. The tai snapper was next and forgettable. The filet mignon was delicious, but came with creamed corn and padron pepper and the pepper was a puzzling flavor. The NY steak Kobe shortrib was very tender, although a bit heavy in taste. It was so tender though, that it fell right off the bone when I touched it with my fork. One of the best entrees was the jidori chicken tajine. The flavors were so wonderfully textured. The fennel was pureed and layered into the vadouvan sauce so that you discovered it between bites. The last entree we had was the Kobe slider. I was stuffed at this point and wish I had room to enjoy it. The beef itself was excellent, but I didn't care for the slaw in secret sauce that came on top of the burger. The fries came in a cute little shot glass with a wonderful house ketchup in the bottom the glass. I pretty much passed on dessert, as I was getting to the point where I didn't even want to look at food anymore. All in all, the food was beautifully prepared. The service was great, with staff being very attentive. Of course, we were there on a weeknight and the restaurant was not at capacity. I enjoyed most of the dishes. Not all of them were a home run, but overall an enjoyable experience. Great decor. Loved the mismatched chairs and the use of parlor couches in lieu of banquette seating.
