Me and a few friends came her on a Saturdaynight to celebrate a birthday. With help of a promoter (thanks John..Jimmy..?, lol) we were able to skip the entire line, get free entry, a table and bottles! Marquee had a gorgeous layout and for the most part a decent looking crowd. However, we had to be the youngest people in there and definitely saw a group that could have been my parent's age. I was wondering what some people were doing there and how they got in, especially when we came across a group of Jersey Shore meatballs that looked 14 and a half. But I definitely loved how well taken care of we were by the promoter but the first floor around our table was so crowded and by 2 am was completely covered and sticky with drinks. The tables did have a cool feature where you can hide your bags/belongings in these little hidden cubbies so that made me feel a little better about putting my bag down in a room full of strangers. :) All in all a good night, would love a little YOUTH in there but hey it was a 21+ club that i definitely had no business being in. :P

A pretty cool club in the downtown area. According to my cousin, its one of the only three good clubs in the area. It was my first clubbing experience and I'm REALLY happy to say I had an awesome time! We went on a Saturday night/$5 guestlist. There were a couple different rooms, and each had a different vibe. The first floor is reaally nice..i was actually amazed..But I spent most of my time downstairs in what felt like a hip-hop dungeon (kinda dark, really hot, pretty good music). The crowd was mostly in their early/mid 20s, so there were only a few creepers lurking. As for the guys, most of them (that night) were pretty cute..It was dark, I was buzzing.. so that doesn't say much....

So, fundraisers are a funny thing. First, you donate X$$ to sponsor the event. Then the bartenders at 111 Minna hammer you with an extremely heavy pours. Then, you spend even more $$$ on silly silent auction items you don't need. I think it's a conspiracy. Well done, 111 Minna, 4 stars for getting me (and others) to fork out the cash.
