We went here for the Francis and the Lights concert. The show was great, but it started about 3 hours after the doors opened (with no opening act). The venue was passing out coupons to one of their weekend parties to "apologize" (meaning it must have been the venue's fault). The bottled beer was skunky, my boyfriend couldn't even finish his second one it was so awful. After ordering 3 drinks to meet the $20 minimum so I could close my tab before the show started, I was handed a receipt for $61. I quickly pointed out the error, only to have the bartender argue with me. He said my "friends must have been ordering drinks" on my tab - which is a crazy assertion since I had only been there about 30 minutes at this point, and I only knew 3 other people in the bar, none of whom had ordered anything on my tab. The bartender was accusatory and rude, obviously desperate to try and pin HIS mistake on me, the customer. After 15 minutes of arguing with him, he corrected his mistake, and recharged me the $20 I really owed, but I got home to find he never actually refunded me the original $61. So, in summation: I paid $80 for three drinks, missed the first 15 minutes of the show to argue with a bartender who clearly didn't know what he was doing or how to handle customers, and we didn't even enjoy all three of our drinks because the beers were so skunky. I'll never go back. This is Manhattan, there are plenty of places to go that can get it right. No reason to waste your time.

great local bar/club the drinks are reasonable and the music is good but the best part is the drag show everyone goes crazy when they come out on the floor to perform. The only draw back is you will wait in line for 10-15 min on most night but hey that means it worth it.

I love Loca Luna. I went there all year during my first year at Tech. The food is exquisite, and the waiters are usually very cool. The makeshift dance floor gets very crowded, but if you like getting sweaty to salsa music, this is the place for you. It is always a good time. But I would suggest that young college girls bring some college guys with them, because there are a lot of early thirties to middle aged guys that hang around there who try to pick up college girls...Not Happening! I also believe that their calamari is the best I've ever had.
