by Damaris P. on I went to Hiro for a birthday celebration, two to be exact and we had no problems getting in a) there were about 6 hot girls in our group and b) we were getting bottle service. Yes, it looks very nice, I guess, but the music wasn't that great and that's why I go to a dance club, to dance, duh. Also, it would be nice if there were some cute guys and I didn't see any of them, so I can only muster two stars for Hiro. I had a good time regardless because of the people I partied with that night -- but we have a good time wherever we go.
by Emiko Dispirito on I would describe this venue as a large room. You may say, "well duh Jaime, isn't that what most venues are?" I suppose, but this place feels like a large room in that it's not so gigantic you get lost in the crowd and can't see the stage, yet it isn't so small that you feel you're suffocating. The back edge of the dance floor is lined with seating and romantically-lit tables. My first show here was Ted Leo a few years back. It was that night I fell in love with this place. It has a cool old-school vibe that makes me want to listen to big band music and put my swing-dancing dress on.
