by Benson B. on I had such a fabulous time at the Frying Pan. I went to the Frying Pan on a Sunday during Labor day weekend, they were celebrating Bahamas day. Since it was a holiday weekend, it was not crazy crowded. My buddies and I were able to grab a table on the upper level -- we got buckets of Kalik beer and white sangrias - soaking up the sun listening to Bahamian music. I checked out the downstairs area of the ship and I felt like I was in a museum. It was really interesting to see the ship in its original form. Make sure not to touch anything though, the rails/walls and all are super rusty. Yuck. The frying pan is open for two more months, definitely worth checking out. I heard the food is pretty amazing too. Check it out....Boat Bar NYC!! Can't beat that! ohhh and ladies....leave the stilletoes at home.
by Kasey Okoren on Love love love to go here on Thursday nights. Who wouldn't be down for 80s night? You can usually find me dancing on the stage in the back room or in the cage near the entrance. too bad they don't have the $2 rails anymore...or was it $1? Can't remember.
