by eva h. on This place borderlines on hysterical. Bizarre atmosphere--weird space ships and planets and fireballs with a DJ booth and disco ball. Usually filled with older Polish people, drinking their (cheap) beer and watching Polish TV. But the food is really quite good. The pierogies can't be beat, and we really enjoyed our stuffed cabbage and the like. It's like going to grandma's...if your grandma was a old Polish lady with sass.
by Eddie Simek on 3 Stars for the club -3 stars for the attitude they have here (Rateclub FORCES me to give at least one star though) HAH soo this is funny... I was not even attending an event at slide, I was walking by on the sidewalk. I stopped to talk to my friend by the curb outside the entrance when we were approached by a bouncer who said, "keep moving, you are not allowed to stop here" I laughed and said, "well actually its a sidewalk, I can do what I want, and I want to stop and talk to my friend here." The bouncer quickly put on his "thug" attitude and got in my face yelling and threatening me for "being like that" saying I am disrespecting and blah blah blah.... yea whatever you power hungry no-body, I'm minding my own business on city property don't tell me what to do! and yes i've been to slide before, I would say its pretty nice inside, they have a cool bar but its small, dark, and stuffy.
