by Jade R. on Meh. I went here for the 18+ nerd boys/schoolgirls event. I was so excited to dress like a schoolgirl with my friend, and when we went there, NONE OF THE GIRLS WERE DRESSED UP LIKE SCHOOLGIRLS. I think I found maybe 3 other girls dressed in schoolgirl outfits. This made me a sad panda :( I still had fun dancing, though. My friends and I started the dance floor (seriously everyone was standing on the sides like its high school or something). There were a ton of creepers that came up to my friends and I. I think its kind of funny how they all look the same, though- cheap polo, bad cologne, and ugly hair. xD This one guy followed me and asked me to dance 4 times... it was gross. I wasn't a big fan of the music, either. They played a TON of hyphy, and thats not really a genre that I'm familiar with. I knew maybe 3 out of the 20 songs they played. :( When they played mainstream I got all excited :D They had better beats than the hyphy songs that were picked out, imo. I give it 3 stars instead of 2 (like I did for Club X) because the mood was a lot more relaxed and less raunchy. There were people having pseudo-sex on the dance floor, but the atmosphere was still a lot less chill than Club X, which I liked. Also, they had free water!! And they were taking pictures! And it was in a nice location :) Right next to the bay! But ultimately, the music and guys sucked. WHY AM I NOT 21 YET ARGHH THESE 18+ CLUBS ARE KILLING MEEEE
by Margaretta Barlowe on Yay, Shine makes me happy, I was there over the weekend right before it got really busy. The bar/lounge is tight, but it's great since it overlaps onto the dancefloor, where all sorts of things can happen. Drinks are strong, but oh wait, I was drinking straight Jack so that might account for that! When I found the gaudy-fabulous photobooth in back, I knew I was in heaven!
