by Paul R. on Eleven in West Hollywood has a great location, great atmosphere, and a really good crowd. BUT, they really lack in service and food quality. It took an act of God to get a waiter to come to our table to even give us menus. I had to go over to the service station to drag him away from his fellow employee to help us. Unacceptable in my book. Then is took forever and a day for him to come back around to take our order. When the food finally came the quality was forgettable, and the waiter never came around to check up on us. He was more concerned with gossiping again with his fellow waiter. The only reason I gave Eleven any stars at all was the great crowd they had into the night. We had a blast as a nightclub. although all the bartenders had attitudes. I will definitely go to Eleven again, but not for dinner.

I've been wanting to come out to the California Academy of Sciences Nightlife for months, and finally had the opportunity this past Thursday with the arrival of a great college buddy from San Diego. Get your tickets early, because this is one hot ticket. The whole experience is pretty sensational. There really is no better place in the city to throw a party than right here. Bars trying to compete with this place would be like someone racing an Olympic sprinter in the 1 inch. They don't stand a chance. From the enchanting Rainforest dome, to the unreal views from the Living Roof, the shimmering pastels of the coral reef exhibit, the whole thing is a knockout. Live music is played throughout, cocktail stations are dressed accordingly around the whole venue, and you are bombarded with new sights at every turn. I was surprised to see how dressed up people were, which gave the whole evening the feel of one very special Holiday party. Great place to mingle, meet new people, and if you are banging your head for the ultimate date night, this is by far San Francisco's gift to you. You could be a mute, fail miserably, and she still might give you a second chance because the venue itself will play the role of "engaging date". Tickets are only $10 for what has been and forever will be a solid San Francisco Landmark. A Must Visit.
