Enjoyed the Hickory burger med. rare with tasty slaw(blue cheese & walnuts!)... ordered mojito promptly and bar keep spaced it out... no big deal, had a good book... after a long wait a drink appears that has the taste of sugary flat Sprite... had mint but not muddled... no taste of rum... sent it back and enjoyed the water... so avoid mojitos if the bald guy is behind the bar, enjoy the burgers and try the slaw
by Vernell Gealy on Bowlmor is definitely a great way to feel like you're "going out" on a saturday night but not have to deal with ridiculous crowds or pretentious bars. It has a "bar" atmosphere. The music is great - my friends and I were really impressed with the playlist. What song could go better with bowling than Summer of '69? It is, however, very expensive - shoes, lanes, and drinks. Worth it once in a while though. I'm surprised that people recommend it for dates - if you take a date bowling, it's always one of your turns. You never get to talk or even sit next to eachother (and the games are times, so you can't screw around between turns.) This is true of pretty much any bowling alley though, so if you are someone who likes to bowl on dates, this isn't a bad choice.
