After years of not going out, a group of old (late 30's) decided to go clubbing. Clubbing, a relative term. Haha. We used rateclubs to find out which club play 80's music and folks who responded (thanks!!!) suggested DNA. They said it was New Wave night. When we got there, there was a $12 cover charge. The drinks were weak and expensive and there wasn't much sitting room. But then again, you go to the club to dance! They had two dance floors with surrounding "balcony" on the top floor. Folks were really into the music and dressed the part. It had a big crowd, which was a plus. They streamed videos on the big screen. The only thing I didn't like about the club and it was a big thing for why I wouldn't return is that I didn't like there music. There was 1 song that I recognized. It was definitely 80s New Wave, but it was too industrial for me and I couldn't get into the music.

Me and some fierce friends headed over to this place to enjoy a brief night of dancing. We were a little apprehensive when we realized that our destination was nestled away in an alley way. It was just a little creepy. To our pleasure, there was no cover charge and it was quick and easy to enter into the club. However....once we got inside...we realized that the website description and the hype from other people was SOOO not up to par. I would've probably noticed all the details if there was actually some LIGHT up in there, but all I really noticed were the antler chandeliers and some naked woman painting. The drinks were expensive!!! $20 for two drinks?!?! Anyway, I was REALLY pleased with the DJ. It got us on the dance floor, and we stayed there (well...there isn't really any other option unless you have reservations) for the whole time we were there. The music was great; mixing those hyphy tunes with even a little Journey! Awesome! Overall, it's just okay. But with the right people, I'm sure you can make it great. Definitely one of the better straight bars/clubs I've been to in the city. And OF COURSE...I found the only other gay boys inside the club...it's like we gravitate to each other. Oh well....meet me at the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow??

I love the Third Floor Cafe. Esp. nights though when its not too crowded. They have a good deal for $40 you get a pitcher of flavoured soju and any anju on their menu. Its quite filling. THeir watermelon soju is pretty good. Sharing it with one other person , gives me a small buzz . Its a good mix. I love the design of the place. It just has a really relaxing enviroment to get some drinks and just relax the weekend away. Even if sometimes there is loud techno music in the background. The bouncers are very nice too...the three times that I have been in there.. :]
