Good sound system, great DJ the night I went (BEN WATT!!!) and superb crowd - it was the Wednesday night before halloween, so everyone was just rocking out in crazy costumes to some ridiculously amazing house (to the green fairy who was doing some hardcore house moves -- respect). The ventilation leaves much to be desired though. I was ripping it up on the dancefloor for 10 minutes at a time before I got completely sweaty and nassssty. Nice sized smoker's patio outside to chill at and catch my breath (although the air ain't fresh).. I don't remember much about the process of getting in because we pre-bought tickets and went fairly early. I mean y'all, if you don't wanna deal with lines, then just go early. General club rules: don't go at 1230 if you don't wanna line up. No two ways about it. Anyhow, Ecco, I had a great time. Wood dance floor was awesome for doing crazy fancy sliding footwork on. I dig. Just turn up the ventilation man.. energy-efficiency can be reached without compromising comfort if you do your research!

Truly costs an arm and a leg... a few Bud Lights each and 3 games of bowling for 2 people was well over $100. Just crazy. That said, the service was very good, it was clean and the atmosphere was great. Not a ton of young people from 8pm-10pm on a weekend night, but there were a bunch of families and it wasn't crowded. I'd probably come back, but then again I'd probably bring a flask or something. Still classy? Meh.

Now I don't know much about the Austin club scene, but as an avid club goer in DC/CA... I can say this is seriously under par. I see what it was trying to achieve, but it didn't make it. I think most of the problem was the music choice, which was awful. Also, the people seemed to be trying way too hard. It was trying to be upscale, but it's a far cry from that. There were a couple of girls in there that thought they were playboy bunnies trying to take pictures with all the dudes, it was just sad. I think because it's supposed to be upscale, people think it's OK to walk around like they own the place... which it's not. Conclusion: Not ever going back. Not happening.
