by Justine V. on Came here last Sunday for The Next Big Thing to watch When Eyes Speak Treason. Nice venue! I enjoyed the upstairs level for taking photos & videos. Usually the platform where they perform is just one level, but there was a riser in the back for the drummer, which made his visibility great. The sound guy & lights were on point as well. Definitely like this venue more the Slim's which is right next door.

The reports (reviews) of this club's demise are absolutely true - I've been there periodically over the last six months, and it just seems to be a smaller and uglier crowd every time I go, even during the week. The design and sound system are great....staff is very good looking - but even going last night (Wed), they didn't honor a promoter's free admission (which they had previously honored the last 5x I've gone), they closed the upstairs for the first time, and the crowd which was very average was very slow to arrive. Time to find the next thing - maybe it's time to close and reopen with a new name.
