by Sydney A. on So I had a friend on Facebook suggest the place. I looked at the reviews here on rateclubs first and decided to go check it out with my girlfriend. We went on Taco Tuesday as I read some of the other rateclubs reviews said the Nicks was too expensive. The order taker did not seem to speak good English and I ended up with one more taco than we ordered. I decided not to complain or anything and just go with it. The crispy taco with the cheese and guacamole was good. I would give the guacamole 5 stars. I also noted that some rateclubs reviews did not really like the atmosphere of the red velvet on the wall. I did not really mind it although it did kind of remind me of one of those seedy strip clubs a little further down on Broadway Street ha ha. I thought the atmosphere was probably better because of all of the young, attractive yuppies I saw there. Nicks Crispy Taco were good at clearing off our table before we finished and bar waitress was good at seeing if we wanted to order drinks when we were almost done eating. Upon leaving, I was going to go to the mens room but I decided to skip it was I get a bit weirded out with the whole bathroom attendant thing. Overall, I enjoyed food and atmosphere. The place does have a bit of a "hustle" vibe to it, but overall, it was worth the time and energy to at least go check it out.
