by Shawnta Leetham on Yes, yes, yes! I just had sashimi of the amazingly fresh snapper, and a beautiful hamachi belly, but it was the perfect lunch. And, kudos for proper knife skills on the part of the sushi chef...the snapper and hamachi were cut perfectly to complement the texture of the fish. Well played. I am a self-professed sushi snob & I was more than pleased. Can't wait to try a proper dinner here with the man..,
by Delisa Cookman on I dipped in here one midweek night with some good friends I had not seen in a long time. Apparently the place had just been redone and re-opened. My friends and I were really into the setup and design of the new interior. The inside was lit mostly by candlelight at each table, while the bar emulated a warm glow from behind the silhouettes of liquor bottles on each shelf. There was a decent crowd there and a live jazz band. Definitely a spot to check out in the area.
by Liliana D. on i dont know about club mayan, i mean....we came here after being at club mosun in laguna beach becuz my friends wanted better music...well it was a saturday night and i dont know if its becuz i was worn out from the prev club that i wasnt into the spanish music! not to mention i could harly walk, shoes were killing me! im tempted to check out their friday nights, but i dont know! we woudl have to get there super early becuz we got there close to midnight and there was hardly any parking, plus the line was looong and they werent letting anyone in unless ppl came out...OOO AND GET THIS....while we were in line.....WE SAW A RAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW HOW DISGUSTING IS THAT!!!!!!!!???? we saw it across the street @ like this little mexican food place or i dunno what kinda food they sell there but whatever it is...DONT EAT THERE, THEY HAVE RATS!!! yuck!!! ooooo but the best part of waiting in line would have to be this drunk guy that came out of the club....he friggin' ate it hard and was lying there for sooo long cuz he couldnt get up!!! LOL!!!! then he was trying to pick a fight with these others guys, OMG we were about to leave! ooo and it was ridiculous that the cover charge was still $20 and it was about an hour before they closed! WHATEVER!
