It's actually makes me really sad to write this review because my partner in crime and I picked this place for our night out. We wanted to party like it was 2007 (our year of partying). Unfortunately the only fun I had was hanging out with my hot date...but we could have done that anywhere else. Bottom line: 1) KNOW (not drop names or be on list but KNOW) KNOW somebody that can walk you in or 2) not be of Asian descent. I hate calling out places as racists but we had to wait for my promoter friend to come get us out of line and this has never happened at any of the other places I've gone to where he is promoting. At one point through out the night, I joked that we should find another Asian at the club because I was convinced I was the only one. Our mission failed. Drinks are $10, which I thought were reasonable, decor was very pretty but with all the new tables they've added, the old 'Mood' dance floor is substantially smaller. The crowd was just way too LA for me (or maybe I'm just getting old and cranky), and it was hard to not want to punch the drunk loud girls next to us who were trying to sneak pictures of Stephanie Pratt partying away. Guys were..weird. The guys that took us to their table put something in my drink under the table. I mean really? If you were spending all this dough to buy bottle service, do you really need to sneak alcohol in? Or put roofie in it? Whatever it ended up being, I pretended to sip it and tossed it the first chance I got. I wasn't in the mood to get roofied on a Friday night. Music went from hip hop to trance/house music. It got the boys dancing but I wasn't too impressed. And boo LA clubs for closing at 1:30 am. Maybe I'm just used to Vegas? But our night seemed a little short-lived. MyStudio? Friday night fail. I'd give it 1.5 stars, but I'm trying to be nice.

The first time I went (Nov. '08) a drag queen was carried out on a guerney after having a cardiac arrest during her show. I knew from that moment on, the cinch was going to be my favorite bar in San Francisco. And it has been. I'm there a little too much...
