On that magical morning I moved to the TL I could not believe my luck. A mere 0.7891 blocks from my favorite bar/club ever, 222 Hyde. I recall walking there on my first Friday out, full of glee, just to find that 222 had closed for good. Epic fail. Epic, epic fail. Like a tanked relationship, I moved on. Well, I tried to. I went to other bars but I always remembered the sweet times I shared with 222. I made sweet love to other clubs, but in the heat of passion it was 222 that crept into my mind's eye. Would I ever recover from the loss? Walking home the other day, passing by my old lover 222 Hyde, the door was ajar.... What??? I walk in and inquire, could it be?..... Lighting struck me, the news was that 222 lived once again. I made contact just the other night, if only for a drink. To slowly rekindle my old affair, but the cover was $10? The door man JB Rap was having none of it, he let me in to have my beverage, to acclimate myself to my old home. "Ahhhhh" I sighed, just like old times. The music thumping, the drinks strong. Something about this establishment makes me want to stay forever. I never wanted to leave in the first place but it closed on me, a friend struck down in their prime. The door man JB Rap, was a sign of the good times to come. He was funny and knew how to take care of a customer. I really only wanted a drink, it was late, so he let me slide on the cover. He was well within the bouncer code to tell me to get lost if I didn't want to drop a $10 on the door. Word has it the pizzas are still on point. You can still purchase highchairs and VHS tapes on the block. The sound system pounded at my skull louder yet clearer than I recall. The plumbing in the bathroom now works! If you're a possible stalker of mine this is honestly the best location for you to lay your trap. Now that 222 is back in business I don't really feel the urge to go anywhere else.

Get a drink, BUT DO NOT EAT HERE, I got BAD food poisoning. I've been coming to the right spot for three years. I work around the corner and come in for a beer and burger after work every now and then. The food is decent, the drinks are cheap, but the wait staff is rude. You get what you pay for! I went in again for cheap food and drink, but this time got very BAD FOOD POISONING. I was seriously sick in bed for three days and the symptoms continued for another week or so after that. My doctor told me this type of food poisoning is very commonly passed on from cooks that don't wash their hands. I know the food poisoning was from the right spot because my partner and I eat EVERYTHING together, except this one meal at the right spot where he wasn't with me. I got sick, he's fine. SO if you want a cheap drink and a dive bar atmosphere, check it out. If you do';t want food poisoning, don't eat here!

Went on a Saturday. Expecting lots of blondies with fakes boobs and rude people, rude bouncers, blah blah..basically everything people said before this review. Got in for free, the bouncers were really nice and they were pretty cool. The bartenders that i went to were pretty cool too. Everyone there were really nice even other clubbers. place is kinda small, but i like it cause you can find your friends easily. Drinks were like 10 bucks each, but whatever. it was packed too.. oh and one bad side was that the DJ played a few songs over and over again and kinda got repetitive.
