by Sylvester Ozolins on I'm going to go ahead and throw down my first 1 star review here, for the obnoxious Slide. Aside from the slide (which most girls can't go down due to dress logistics), Slide is pretty much the standard fair for lounges. I like the music and the crowd is well mixed. But here is why its deserves the one star: Slide is overly pretentious. It starts with the infamous mustachioed bouncer that you'll read about in every bad review. He acts like Slide is God's gift to earth and he's the gate keeper. I think the man lives for the 2 hours each night when he feels like he has power in the world. Massive inferiority complex stored in that mustache. All kidding aside, anyone who's serious about their business needs to fire that man. In all, what Slide has to offer does not match the pomp it pretends to have. It's a club that carries the same false arrogance as the aforementioned bouncer. When you see it for what it is, it's rather embarrassing.
