by Rashida Spreitzer on My housemate surprised me with a journey out to Coda for a late night birthday treat (on a Tuesday night) and I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least. Good vibes, great music and the food was super yummy! Went back with a group of 8 for a Friday gathering and had a fantastic evening; dancing, laughter and full bellies for all. The food: First off, the rosemary bread they deliver is yummy. end of story. Tons of vegetable dishes and one of the best salads I have ever tasted; brussel sprouts, crispy bacon, garlic and sherry vinaigrette. Mmmmmm... The goat cheese and pear ravioli hit the spot, topped with a tasty arugula pesto that topped of the dish perfectly. The braised ribs and pork loin were also a hit, with a Jameson cream sauce that we all wanted to bottle up and smuggle home. Drinks: Strong, indeed, but well balanced. Cocktail menu had a wide variety to choose from and a full bar backing it;) Wine list had some great choices, as well Music: Amazing entertainers and a great stage set up - sound was pretty good for the space too! Joe Bagale with Karyn Paige (AMAZING vocals) was a great evening with heavy rhythm and blues and a whole lot of jazzy soul...toes were tapping throughout the set and when they decided to cover "Happiness is a Warm Gun", there was even a sing along. Raw Deluxe was the Friday night entertainment and they blew us away! Such a great vibe all evening with good energy, dancing and a flow that just could not be ignored. Overall, this place is a must see; house staff were all charming and fun, food was fantastic, music never fails to deliver and the cocktail/wine list will be fun to work our way through over the new year. With and ever changing music calendar, we will plenty of opportunity to enjoy it time and time again.
by Sammy L. on The decor is nice, clean, but typical. The drinks were so expensive I thought I misheard the bartender when he said $34 for 3 drinks. I was like huh? 24? I went from downstairs to get some air outside, and accidentally went out the front door instead of outside to the smoking area. Bouncer #1 - "GET ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROPE!" Me - "uh but I was just..." Bouncer #1- "Are you not hearing me? Get on the other side of the rope!" Me - "I was just in here and..." Bouncer #1- "I'm not gonna ask you again" Me - *gets on the other side of the rope* Then I started talking to Bouncer #2 Me - "Excuse me, I just got kicked out by the other bouncer cus I was looking to get some fresh air and I guess I went through the wrong door" Bouncer #2 - "why did he kick you out?" Me - "for no reason! I was inside and came outside to get some air and he kicked me out. He wouldn't even let me get a word in" Bouncer #2 - "now you actually expect me to believe that?" Eventually I got Bouncer #2 to talk to Bouncer #1 and let me back in. Reading the other comments, I guess other people have had similar experiences with the bouncers here. Mean people suck.

If you get there five minutes late, as things in New York go, you probably have about 1/2 hour to kill before your party arrives. Then dinner, an expensive Menu reads $45 for Calamari appetizer, among other things. Highly recommend the Steak platter for 10, and extensive Wine list. . There is a Runway. The back area can be rented for private parties or fashion shows. Love the Cutlery and glasses, great service very attentive. Great New York Dining Experience."
