by Raphael Ancell on NO COVER!!! yyeesssss...This place is part of my Polk St. crawl...Its a bar but they play great music and have a dance floor. Its a place where you can dance all by yourself and still feel like you're not a complete nerd. The drinks are reasonably priced ...I'm not so sure about well drinks because I tend to only order beers in bars. I give it 3 stars because every time I come here it is super crowded and I wanna punch someone. (not that I'm a fighter but someone is always spilling a drink on me). I swear they just let anyone in! But I'd come here again since my boys love the place!
by Kevin W. on We went to slide a few months ago..the bouncers and staff were serious jerks here. This one guy almost ruined our experience when he swiped at my wife's legs when she momentarily put her feet on the seat opposite us. The guy didn't even ask her, he just roughly swiped em off, then gave her a look that said "F" you. Meanwhile across the way there was a couple that we thought were literally having sex on a chair! Made me furious especially considering how much we were spending on drinks...A simple "please remove your feet" would have been sufficient. Yeah, i know feet don't belong on chairs, blah blah, but seriously, the bouncers at Slide gave me a bad feeling of the kind of people that run the joint...
by Tyrell Gerace on I give this place 3 stars for their food - sorta generic americanized mexican - but 5 stars for their amazing pina coladas! They come in a fresh whole coconut, but one sip and you won't even care that you're lugging around a gigantic nut with straws coming out of it. The decor is neat - it's a fun place to get a few drinks and some snacks.
