man i definitely wont be coming back here. Went to the club sat 11/6 and i gotta say this reminds me why i don't like Hollywood in every way shape or form. This place seems like its trying way too hard, much like most of the people that show up here. 14$ vodka tonic didn't really help the situation either. Bartenders way too busy messing around and hitting on the waitresses to get your drink and when they finally do its watered down. not worth it. save your money

Great American Music Hall is a smaller venue in San Francisco, and in my opinion, the best one. Though the neighborhood is a little on the rougher side, it is surrounded by some good little restaurants (De Afghanan Kabob House) and other things. There is a gigantic parking garage across the street, so parking is also very easy. The first great perk of GAMH is they sell all their own tickets. Aside from most of them being under $20, they don't charge you "service fees" and the like. Secondly, the interior is very intimate, and you are actually eye level with the bands. You aren't paying to see ant-like forms of your favorite bands play from a grassy knoll somewhere. The sound in GAMH is great, it is not too muddy, but not loud enough to deafen you. They offer a full bar and dining beforehand, which is also a plus, although I have heard both are a bit pricey. My experiences at GAMH have been great so far, and I will definitely be returning.
