I went here about 2 Thursday's ago and LOVED IT! I think Thursday is an open mic night. After experiencing it I thought, how could anyone not like this place. The staff was friendly, the crowd was diverse, the music was WONDERFUL. The drinks were sweet, the pizza was good. I keep thinking about the next time I go there. Those were 2 of the best hours I've had all year. Other live music places around Atlanta have gone "Hollywood" in my opinion. I just want to go inside, sit down, listen to some music and at Kat's I got to do that. The only thing I noticed was a lot of the tables were reserved. I'm not sure why, maybe for regulars, or maybe you can make reservations, but I was there fairly early so I sat in a good spot right in front of the band. It seems to be a fun place for a birthday party as well.

"KEEP MOVING. I SAID KEEP MOVING!" That's the first thing those ridiculous bouncers said to us. But hey, I guess we were holding up the line outside. We were on a guest list to go here, so it was a great night. We got in free and fast, even with a line, on a Friday. When you go in, you kind of feel like you're in an Usher music video. The setup is great and the place somehow feels huge...the dance floors are high and low and everywhere! Light shows, screens, good looking people...total Hollywood. Including the prices. So be sure to predrink or meet someone rich because the drinks are standard Hollywood prices...but strong. In any case it's an impressive place to take your friends and it's a guaranteed good time. If you don't like it there's about a billion other places on Hollywood Blvd to stumble over to. Oh PS totally agree about the bathroom attendant. She demands money. Do your thing and peace out asap.

I was a big Visions fan. Crushed when they closed, but hopeful when I heard the owners had opened a new club. I went on a Friday night with an email pass. I was one of the only white people there, not that I mind, but I'd rather have a diverse crowd. The line was not too long but moved so slowly that by the time we got to the front, they wouldn't let us use our passes and we were so frustrated we left. I went again more recently on a Saturday night. We were able to get in fine, the line was not bad at all. Again, I was a minority - where's the diversity? The location is awful - right next to a Big Lots. The club itself is way to small, and the bartenders had no idea how to make good drinks. Would you like a splash of soda with that liquor? The music was ok, but not as current as I would have expected.
