I have nothing against this place because I didn't even go in. However, can I just say...FUCK. you bastard promoters with a passion. by Scott A. on Went to cafe du Nord for the Porch Light show . I have been here beofre for a band once before. I think it was the Lovemakers. I had some eats and some drinks. The food was at best average. I would not recommend it unless you just want the convenience since you are there. The atomsphere is lovely though. It is set in a beautiful old building on Market St. There was a good mix of of eye candy as well as the freaks and geeks for some extra flavor. As far as the "performers" go, it was a little hit and miss. In fact the two people picked from the audience were actually better than some of the "headliners". That being said, I think that a $12 admisison for this show was bit steep. Will I revisit the show, most likely. The place, for sure.
by Alexander Radwanski on this place is such a waste of space. *rant* first off, any place that charges $20 cover should at least have decent decor and some nice bathrooms. i'm telling you, this venue is on par with clubs in TJ. i also find it extremely irritating that they only accept cash. i can't STAND large establishments, ESPECIALLY nightclubs, that do no accept credit cards. are they for real? get a fucking credit card machine and pay the 0.25 service fee, you greedy bitches. note, i'm giving this dump one extra star because they seem to have some good club nights advertised...
