I LOVE LOVE the decor. The theme and the atmosphere is very different from any lounge I've ever stepped foot in. It's basically one large bottom floor and a small private room on the top floor. And man, I love when guys dress all nice and suave. ;D I'm not sure I enjoy it being in an alley though..and the neighborhood...welllll....the parking lots are managed by some sketchy people ;( I had to get someone to walk me to my car.

The Park may be known for its over-crowded nightlife, but many forget that The Park is actually a great restaurant before the party gets started. I've been multiple times, and have not been disappointed yet. I enjoy the lentil salad very much, and their tuna tartar is amazing! I've also had their sandwiches and salads and they're excellent! It is truly a great place for lunch during the week or on the weekend! I have yet to have dinner at The Park, but I have been there for happy hour, and I will say that it gets extremely busy and the music gets louder as the night gets older. Truly recommend trying it. Only disadvantage is that it is on 10th Ave, but if you actually go you'll realize it is only a few blocks away from the meatpacking district.

Another Steven Starr restaurant? The place is neat-o, but I guess that can get old kind of fast. The bathrooms are kind of cool, and the 'pods', where they let larger groups sit, have mood lighting you can set yourself. If you're a small party, you can sit at the back bar/food area, where a little conveyor belt carries tiny plates of food round and round, you just grab what looks good. Sort of a serve yourself dim-sum, I guess. It's a different kind of experience, with lots of interesting choices off the menu, with a heavy focus on seafood. I liked the crab spring rolls A LOT, and also enjoyed the chicken potsticker dumplings. I was in a party of four, and we all ordered something different. The drinks are pricey, so be prepared to shell out the bucks if you imbibe. Four of us ate and drank for about $250, so that will give you an idea of what to expect.
