i went to see massive attack here. me and my girlfriend were walking in and asked where our seats where and we told the man. then he quickly snuck us into the handicap section in the front row! our seats were on the balcony. im not sure how we got so lucky that day but we did. the bar tender was very friendly as well. it is a grand place

I made an unscheduled stop into the Continental on a Wednesday night and I was surprised to see how busy the place was.  As mentioned in other posts, decor is top-notch Vegas/martini bar with a cool sunken dining area in the center, comfy booths at street-level and open 2nd floor seating ringing the huge chandelier. Enough with the decor...I was hungry! The portions sizes were massive IMHO. Shoestring fries are a football sized nest of crispy goodness (although I'm not sure if you eat them with a fork or your hands?). The calamari were ho-hum...orange-sour glaze brightened up the lackluster batch of breaded squid. Surprise of the night was the edamame...my wife wanted to order something green to balance out my fried fiesta and at $5 it was the cheapest thing on the menu, so what the heck?  A huge bamboo steamer full of salty green snacks appeared in moments...again, massive portions. Service was prompt & overall the place was worth a second look, although I'll probably try the location on 2nd & Market next time I'm in the mood for a quick bite...a little less glam...the Midtown is a definite date-place.

I love Sugar. It's got the fastest Wi-fi in the city, and the atmosphere is always pleasant. They have good cappuccinos and make a tasty lemon drop. Their wine list isn't the greatest, and their pastries are just decent...but I still go all the time because its a great hang out spot. Also, their $10 bottomless mimosas on Saturdays are too much fun!
