by ensabah n. on I like giving good reviews on Rateclub. Rarely do I give bad. This place is an exception. Their site advertised that Florence and the Machine was playing Thursday night. I thought it was too good to be true that they would come all the way from London to play at this club but I couldn't miss the opportunity. I bought tickets to 330 Ritch online because I thought they would sell out fast. A day later, I arrived and a sign outside said they were sick and couldn't make it. I found out that they were never scheduled to perform there. They falsely advertised to get people to go and they did not refund my ticket. Fraud was nothing in comparison to how they treated my friend. She was standing outside and the bouncer was making racist remarks at her while I was talking to the manager. The regulars were rude as well. I will never go back. Do not believe their site. They do not have the bands that they advertise.
by Loren Justo on Ok so we went last night or a friend's bday...boy were we in for a surprise...Mebbe it's cuz I'm from OC or mebbe it's cuz I'm getting older, but this place is not what I was expecting...the bathrooms sucked, the music wasn't that much better until after 11:30pm...The main side was packed and the other side was totally dead for a while... It was interesting to see the mixed group of people there...I did do a little dancing with some of my girls but it was crowded and annoying...the entire placed looked dingy, but cuz it was so DARK, you couldn't tell what you were sitting on or leaning up against...the WORST part about it was the cost and taste of the drinks...OMG...a shot of Absolut Vodka was $9? And Grey Goose was $12? HOLY freaking cow...I'm sorry...SADLY the shots were totally watered down...too...and the mixed drinks were just as bad...Cranberry and Vodka...it was just Cranberry juice..The only thing I heard that tasted good was the bf-unit's Guinness on tap. I honestly I think the only thing that made this worthwhile was cuz the birthday girl wanted to come here and my other girl Cynthia made it so fun even though the place was not up to par with other places...I guess to each their own...but I don't think I'd ever go back again, if I want good drinks and good ambience... BTW...there's pretty much NO DRESS CODE, just come as you are...whether it be a track suit, or t-shirt and white tennis shoes, you are automatically IN...they don't discriminate...and it's free before 10:30 anyway... LASTLY DO NOT VALET here...for $7, you get your totally nice car scraped up underneath the dirt alleyway where you drop off your car...we saw someone's Acura TSX being dragged through the HUGE pot-DITCHES they had there...My BF felt totally bad for the other guy's car...
