I love philly cheese steaks! Although, it is not the same in the west coast. This was my first time eating a real deal philly cheese steak right in Philadelphia. I ordered a philly cheese steak with cheese whiz. It also comes with sauteed onions. The wait wasn't long, and my cheese steak was ready! I was so excited to try my first philly cheese steak in Philadelphia! The bread used in the philly cheese steak is crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The portion of meat is plentiful, and perfectly cooked. Sauteed onions add texture and nice flavor. The cheese whiz is a great compliment to the sandwich. I want to come back, maybe try the sandwiches with different cheese steaks.

Pure Crap. The only "taqueria" where I've had to valet park. Not very "authentico". The meal was overpriced and the tortilla chips were stale. Even the rice and beans were messed up - the rice was undercooked and the beans were bland. Our waiter was twitchy and kinda "cracky". Total waste of time and money. For good tacos, just go to Taqueria del Sol.

Scenes from an Italian pizza restaurant: "Did you see our waitress?" "Which one?" "The one with the tattoos who looks like she's going to a nightclub." (pause) "Which one?" A couple comes up to our picnic table. "Can we sit down here?" Certainly. They order 2 shots, slam them, order 2 more, slam them. Then they leave. A couple enters the courtyard with a 50-lb mixed breed dog who proceeds to greet everyone within sniffing, pawing and licking distance. People queue up for butt-sniffing and face-licking. Chimay is flowing from the tap directly to my glass. My dining partner orders: "What's the fruitiest martini you have? Whatever it is, that's what I want." Two people who are probably in their 60s wander in. His white hair is falling in loose, thick rings around his shoulders. Her hair was probably last cut in 1993. Because it's happy hour our entire bill with tip is under $40 for food (spinach & mushroom calzones), 2 premium beers, and 2 pink martini things. The P.A. is blaring Bee Gee clones singing to a disco beat: "Ah, ah, ah, have become...comfortably numb." I love this friggin' city.
