Interesting...  Before I booked a room in Pandora, I checked out Rateclub for a great karaoke place in the city.  Pandora was top o f the list with at least a dozen five star reviews.  Now it's all gone.  Interesting. Moving on. I booked a room to celebrate a birthday with some friends.  Have fun, a few drinks, some grub and some vocal belt-ation. The truth of the matter is this: Receptionists were very friendly and got us to our room promptly, albeit we were late for our reservation. The interior design of the theme rooms are great. The song selections, while spanning current hits and oldies, are limited. The rooms are not sound insulated. The rooms get uncomfortably hot. In the private rooms, there's a constant static interruption from the wireless infared mics. There's a very cool smoking area out back in between buildings. The crowd is cool - most, like me, can't sing for sh!t, but cool and fun loving nonetheless. The drink prices are very reasonable. Service was at a good pace and very friendly. Overall, it was the company in the room that made up for the shortcomings of Pandora.  Good friends have great times.  The servers were fast, friendly and helpful.  Unfortunately there's only so much they can do about the poor karaoke set up in the room and the lack of a properly working cooling system.  The bar food was pretty good and the drinks are well priced.  Bottle service comes with complimentary soda and juice.  And the bar is well stocked. It was brought to my understanding that they are still in their Soft Opening stage.  Understandably, any new operation will have bugs that need to be addressed. If they keep the nice service attitude and fix the operational bugs, I will definitely, given the opportunity, give Pandora another shot and Rateclub accordingly.

Ok, so I tried to pretend this wasn't a big deal when I was there, but I feel completely comfortable getting all teenage girl here on rateclubs. Any place that puts me in 4 feet (yes, count 'em, four) of Justin Timberlake deserves a hot rateclubs shout out! I have been the last two Tuesdays (what? I love to dance) and have enjoyed myself thoroughly (in addition to a Saturday spent here once). The dj keeps the beats flowing and the rhymes busting.  I love their cocktail menu (conveniently placed on the wall) for being fruity, inventive and diverse.  Not that you would only get one, but they have this weird $24 minimum to use cards, so be prepared to double fist the night away.  I won't be crying any rivers over this night out!

Not impressed. I have wanted to go to this place for a while now because I have been looking for a place that is open late and has great desert. The pictures on their website and on rateclub just looked so good that I had to give them a try. Just came back from this place and I have to say that not only did my desert rate below average my service was awful. I will be a little understanding due to the fact that it is late and that they were very packed but my husband and I waited 20 minutes after we got our menu to get our order taken. And after we ordered we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for our drinks. We just ordered two glasses of champagne...no mixed drink. At least she wasn't rude; then I would have been pissed. He ordered the ice cream beer float and we shared the desert sampler. I wish I could copy and paste the picture that is on the rateclub pictures and post a picture of what we got. I know that is says the desert can change without notice but gosh, did it have to change that much? On the picture there are two tiny floats, two tarts, two brownies, and some kind of moose like desert with whipped cream, and a shot of espresso. Well we got the floats and the espresso but no tarts or brownies. We got what tasted like a lemon tart and strawberries with yogurt, oh and instead of the fancy moose like thing we got ice cream. The lemon tart was very small shaped triangles that were very thin like 1/4 inch thick and did not taste good. And the strawberries were not impressive at all. It was such a disappointment. I would try them again if I knew I would be getting the food I see in the pictures.
