Like a lot of the Starr restaurants, I feel like this place gets a lot of lovers and haters. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Here's the story with this place: it does look nice, the tapas style food is usually tasty, and the drinks are solid...but very expensive. If you're looking for a place to see and be seen, and throw down in that "let's get loud and drink martinis" kind of way, you will have a blast here. The roof deck can be a good time in the summer, though I think it can bring in a bit of the Philly equivalent of the bridge and tunnel crowd. If, you're looking for more of a quiet night with your friends, come here midweek, or pick another spot.

Bubbles! Bubbles! Bubbles! Oh, too much bubbles.... I usually don't like coming here because it gets super packed and stuffy. But last night was my friend's birthdays, so I put on my party outfit and got my drink on! Thank goodness for the rain...it didn't seem as crowded as it usually does. The music upstairs is usually house, so if that's not your thing, then head downstairs for the hip hop. The only problem with the downstairs is that the ceiling is super low, so you feel like the Jolly Green Giant when you're dancing. And there's no ventilation, so it gets super stuffy. The drinks were flowing all night! Glass after glass of champagne kept showing up in my hand...which explains the massive headache I woke up to this morning. Their champagne was really good, and they have alot of yummy mixed champagne drinks. My friends got 2 tables, so we had a nice little area to hang out and relax. The service was really good. They kept coming by to make sure we had enough mixers, cups, ice, etc. I wish they would pay that kind of attention to the bathrooms. The women's bathroom always runs out of toilet paper. So if you really gotta go, grab some napkins from the bar! Last night was the most fun I've had at Bubble Lounge....I guess it helps that I was drunk. =) And no cover is always a plus!

Hm, it seems as though Boston rateclubsers are torn about Rumor. Personally, I like Rumor; definitely one of the better clubs in town. The atmosphere is trendy-hot (recently remodeled as Yi-Hwa mentioned) and the music is fantastic. When I go all dancey-dance, Rumor has got my back with some really good house beats. The layout is nice; 2 rooms with unique vibes. Decent crowd; you get a different mix of people every time. Very international. However, be prepared to spend; cover is $15-20 (depending on how early you get there) and the drinks can get pretty pricey. And watch out for the Euro-yuckiness (recognizable because of the chest hair peeking out).
