If I barely remember the night, then it must've been really awesome, right? Knowing they normally don't use promoters and after finding out Friction Entertainment was hosting a Thanksgiving Eve event here, I was super excited to finally be able to get in. I got my promoter friend to VIP me and the rest was history! My friend and I only waited for about 5 minutes to get in but even though I was on the VIP list, I still had to pay a $20 (or was it $30?!) cover charge 'cause I went in after 11 pm. It was kinda ridiculous 'cause it was 11:03 pm and they wouldn't let it slide. VENUE Right after entering, you're in the outside garden where a bar, tables, outdoor fireplace, and this fountain thing in the middle are located. Going further in, on your left, you enter the actual venue - where another fireplace and bar greet you. On your right is a decent-sized dance floor with 2nd-floor tables overlooking the dance floor. There's a stage on one end of the dance floor, behind another bar, where the go-go dancers are. Overall, the ambience is classy and sophisticated, although I have to admit it's a lot smaller than I had imagined from seeing photos online. Also, the restrooms kind of suck because they aren't divided by gender, they're individual rooms (and there's only like 4), so the line got long fast -___- DRINKS/FOOD The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and quick on their feet. Drinks were pretty good too, so I was very pleased. They also don't mind serving tap water, unlike Exchange LA (they don't want you rolling), so I liked that a lot. One of the reasons why I had wanted to go to Blvd3 so badly was because I heard there were free tacos and strawberries... this was not the case the night I went, so I was really disappointed. MUSIC I don't really remember since I was pretty drunk but it was probably your regular Top 40 - better than most clubs because I remember dancing a lot and I only dance to good songs haha. BOUNCERS I barely noticed them. I only distinctively remember one and only because at one point, I was laying on a couch by myself and a bouncer had come up to me asking in a really soft and concerned tone whether or not I was alright and if I needed water. I told him I was fine, but I thought that was really nice of him :) CROWD Since Friction Ent., Opium, etc. were promoting, the crowd that night was mostly Asian. However, I've heard that it's usually a pretty good mix of Caucasian, Latino, Asians, etc. I didn't mind though because I love my Asians :) However, most of the crowd wasn't very good looking, compared to My House or Exchange. I did bump into a couple people I knew randomly, so that was really nice! PARKING There's a parking lot and structure right around the corner that costs $10, which isn't that bad and pretty convenient. Overall, this venue is nice and I had tons of fun (yay for being drunk and sandwiched on the dance floor by a bunch of guys LOL), but I most likely would not come back unless Friction is promoting or by some miracle, a friend gets a table here. Fingers crossed 'cause I really want some free tacos and strawberries!

Whoa, Lime, hello! I was aware that Lime isn't a traditional brunch spot, but I didn't exactly realize how loud the dance music was going to be...My other 3 dining mates were slightly hungover and quite honestly, I couldn't even imagine stepping into Lime with the slightest hangover, but somehow they made it through our 2.5 hour brunch. And this 2.5 hour brunch ended with shots purchased by the table of hottie gay guys/owner next to us and dancing in the lounge. Pluses: -the music if you're in the mood for nightclub music and feeling it -bottomless mimosas OR pomegranate mimosas (I went back and forth between the two) -the mimosa pitcher was left on our table, haha -free shots Minus: -awful service (they never answer their phone) -it took the waitress a good 25 minutes to take our order, and this was after I flagged her down. -the food (meh, I had the baked omelette, only ate half) -the bathrooms (disgusting, 20 minute line) Definitely DO NOT come to Lime WITHOUT a reservation. Our reso was made through http://opentable.com, but the poor people waiting had to wait for at least an hour. Thanks to Javier for inviting us to his after-party kegger up the street in Cole Valley....and ending the night passing out at 6pm. Awesome.
