This is a review on their Brunch: from reading other reviews is as good as it gets - which is bad. Reasons to go to lime: You're looking to party at 10:00am - There you go, that's it. There is loud music, bad food and poor service. Their bottomless mimosas do not get refilled all that quickly, as a light weight there is no reason why I should ever walk out of a "bottomless" brunch sober. To make things worse, the last time I was there it was one of the staffs birthday and they were all dressed in skimpy white clothing... our waiter kept putting food on the table and I had his very hairy armpit next to my face one too many times. (Here I thought gay men were supposed to be well groomed) Did I mention the food sucks? Their slow on refilling the Mimosas but quick to kick you out once you have been there for a little while. If you decide to go try and get seated in a section served by one of the girls - for some reason they are much better at getting me drunk than any of the male servers. Like everyone else has said, it's a fun place to take friends from outside the city for the shock but there are a million better bottomless brunch locations in the city with food worth having - it really is that bad.

I don't know what there is to say about Carman's that hasn't already been said. The food and the service were both exceptional. I had the challah french toast with a peach, plum, and cinnamon syrup. My wife had the coconut-infused pancakes with pineapples, berries, and a whole lot of other fruit on top. They were every bit as good as they sound. Of course, the menu at Carman's changes weekly and there are only ever 4 items on it so your experience is likely to be entirely different (although I would expect equally as satisfying).

I've heard people talk about this bar like it's something out of a Charles Bukowski book. It's not that bad, I kinda liked it. Decent beer selection, friendly bartender, and it was comfortable, if a little bit dark in here. I'll take this place over Shannon Arms any day of the week.
